VaLa compiles fundraising training courses on its website. Check out the trainings and sign up!

VaLan promotes Finnish fundraising culture by organizing training and discussion sessions for both fundraisers and other organizational actors. VaLan aims to support and train even more professional and motivated fundraisers. Organizational actors from over a hundred organizations participate in the trainings annually. VaLa has created Responsible Event Operating Principles for event planning and implementation, which, by following, can guarantee participants the opportunity to participate and learn in a meaningful, safe and encouraging environment.


Members of the European Fundraising Association EFA organize numerous training courses in different European countries every year. Check out the EFA training calendar.


Professional Fundraising Diploma Training


The Rastor Institute operates the fundraising training program in collaboration with VaLa, Allianssi, Fingo and SOSTE. The professional fundraising training prepares you to complete the official Finnish National Board of Education's specialized professional qualification in product development.


The European Fundraising Association (EFA) has awarded a certificate to the Professional Fundraising training programme. The certificate certifies that the training programme meets the EFA requirements for professional fundraising and complies with common European fundraising standards. The EFA Certification diploma is awarded to all students who have completed the Professional Fundraising training. EFA is a network of national fundraising umbrella organisations that strengthens and develops fundraising in Europe. EFA certificates have been awarded since 2007, and currently EFA Certification studies can be completed in eight other European countries in addition to Finland (2023).
